process Timeline

Step 1: Brief Form

The first step of this process involves receiving a brief or call from you (the client) via my contact page or home page. The brief form is used as a method of collecting all the necessary details about you (the client’s) preferences, taste, budget and expectations. This questionnaire is a way to uncover your style, as well as gives me (the designer) a chance to ask questions that will help anticipate smaller details when designing your website.

Step 2: Contract & Deposit

Once both parties have discussed and agreed what is to be expected, a contract will be sent to you (the client). This is also the time in which the first deposit should be discussed and made, although I (the designer) may not request the entire cost of the project, making a deposit will give me (the designer) the funds needed to purchase any additional scripts, plugins required to complete the project and ensure your commitment.

Step 3: First Revision

The next step in this process involves revising the first part of the process. This is when a link to the website, a password, and other pertinent information is sent to you (the client) allowing you to gain access to the website design for speculation and feedback.

Step 4: Second Revision

Now it is time for some minor revisions. No matter if its an oversight on behalf of me (the designer) or if you (the client) has requested some slight alterations after seeing your design, this will be the time to make all the necessary corrections before moving forward. In some instances, it may be necessary to include major revisions at this stage, as it is what is best for you (the client), and the project overall. This is the time in which any outstanding questions or concerns should be addressed on both sides. Step 5 won’t go ahead until both parties are happy to continue.

Step 5: Delivering Website & Final Payment

The last step involves delivery of the website to you (the client). At this point the website should be fully designed and functional, although making additional tweaks isn’t ideal, a few may be necessary in certain situations. This is also the time in which the remainder of the payment must be submitted to me (the designer) before fully turning over the website. You (the client) cannot access and take full control of the website until I (the designer) have received the final payment.

Step 6: Aftercare

Aftercare in web design refers to the ongoing support and maintenance services provided to you (the client) after the completion of the website development. It ensures that the website continues to function optimally, remains secure, and adapts to any changes or updates in the online platform. I (the designer) will provide ongoing support through email, chat or a dedicated portal. This service will be available to you (the client) for an agreed amount between both parties.
